The Registrar

is the Secretary to Council, Senate, Convocation and Congregation and numerous statutory University committees as defined by the University Laws. He/She shall also perform all other duties assigned to him/her by Council and/or the Vice Chancellor.

  • He/She shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University.
  • He/She is the repository of the University documents/records.
  • He/She is a Principal Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer of the University.
  • He/She is expected to guide on Rules, Regulations and Procedures in University Administration

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidate shall possess a good Honours degree not below Second Class (lower division) from a division a recognised university with at least fifteen (15) years relevant cognate experience in University administration out of which a minimum of five (5) years must have been spent in a position not below that of Deputy Registrar in a State/Federal University. Possession of a higher degree and membership of recognized professional bodies will be an added advantage. the candidate must possess good managerial skills and competences including a clear understanding of the nature and dynamics of the intricacies in deploying Information Technology as a tool for human resources management in line with global best practices in contemporary University Libraries or similar Institutions.

Renumeration shall be as approved for this post in the Nigerian University System.

Deputy Registrar

who shall be responsible to the Registrar shall assist him/her in the day-to-day administration of the affairs (other than finance) of the University.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidate must possess a good Honours degree not below Second Class(Lower Division) from a recognized university plus NYSC Discharged certificate or evidence of Exemption) from a recognized University with at least twelve (12) years post-qualification cognate experience, a considerable part of which must be in University Administration. Candidate must have spent three (3) years on the post not below the grade of Principal Assistant Registrar. Possession of a higher degree and membership of recognized professional bodies will be an advantage

The Librarian

The University shall be a full-time officer and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration of the University Library and the co-ordination of library services in the University.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidate must possess a good Honours degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division, Masters and Doctorate degree in Library or Information Science from a recognized University. Candidate must also have at least fifteen (15) years continuous experience in an academic Library. A strong proof of continuing research with appreciable evidence of scholarly publications both in quality and quantity in reputable national and international journals is also required. In addition to academic/professional qualifications, the candidate must possess evidence of membership of Library professional bodies and registration with the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN), which is the regulatory agency for the practice of Librarianship in Nigeria.

Above all, the candidate must possess good managerial skills and competences including a clear understanding of the nature and dynamics of the intricacies in deploying Information Technology as a tool for the management of information collections in line with global best practices in contemporary University Libraries or similar Institutions.

Finally, Candidate must be able to provide academic and administrative leadership and must have spent at least three (3) years as a Deputy University Librarian.

Renumeration shall be as approved for this post in the Nigerian University System.

Deputy University Librarian

is to assist the University Librarian in the management of the University library as a critical academic facility.
In the absence of the Librarian, the Deputy Librarian shall act.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidate must possess a good Honours degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division plus NYSC Discharged Certificate or evidence of Exemption and a Master’s Degree in Library Information Studies from a recognized University.

The possession of a Ph.D. degree will be an added advantage

In addition to the academic or professional qualifications, the candidate must possess evidence of membership of library professional bodies and registration with the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN), which is the regulatory agency for the practice of librarianship in Nigeria.

Above all, the candidate must possess good managerial skills and competences including a clear understanding of the nature and dynamics of the intricacies in deploying information technologies as tools for the management of information collections in line with global best practices in contemporary University Libraries or similar Institutions.

The prospective candidate must have put a minimum of ten (10) years of cognate work experience in University Library, three (3) of these years must have been at Library Management position not lower than that of a Chief Librarian or its equivalents.

The Bursar

is the Financial Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.

The Bursar shall hold office for a period of five (5) years from the effective date of his/her appointment and on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidate must possess a good University Honours degree not below Second Class Lower Division in Accounting with at least fifteen (15) years relevant cognate experience out of which twelve (12) years must be in University Accounting system or that of comparable Institution of Higher learning or any other arms of the Public Service. Possession of a relevant higher degree or Fellow of relevant professional Accounting bodies will be an added advantage while adequate knowledge of the use of computer and of relevant computer applications and Certificate of the Final Examination of any of the recognized bodies, viz: ICAN, ANAN, ACCA or any other recognized and acceptable accounting professional qualification.

In addition, the Candidate for the position of Bursar must have managed both local and external funds of a reputable higher institution successfully and must have been exposed to both local and international best practices in accounting profession.

Candidate must have served for at least five (5) years in Senior Management position not lower than Deputy Bursar or its equivalent.

Deputy Bursar

The Deputy Bursar shall be responsible to the Bursar and shall assist him in the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The applicant must possess a degree in Accounting from a recognized University with a minimum grade of Second Class Lower Division plus NYSC Discharged Certificate or evidence of Exemption with at least twelve (12) years post-qualification experience in University Accounting systems or that of a comparable institution. Possession of a relevant higher degree will be an added advantage while adequate knowledge of computer applications and Certificate of the Final Examination of any of the recognized bodies viz: ICAN, ANAN, ACCA or any other recognized and acceptable accounting professional qualification are compulsory. In addition, candidate must possess leadership and administrative skills.
